Flexibility to Study When You Want
iPass provides you with flexibility at a time when your schedule has never been busier. With iPass, you no longer have to choose whether your schedule can accommodate morning or evening classes. Nor will you fall behind if you get stuck working late. Whether you are a morning person or a night owl you will have complete control over your daily schedule, and can "attend" class whenever you want - 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Flexibility to Study Where You Want
iPass gives you the opportunity to study anywhere. Whether you simply need to get a few days away from your law school (and anyone there who may be adding stress to your life), or you need to be away from home for a few days while you study, you'll have the freedom to travel knowing that you can use iPass wherever you have a high speed internet connection. You'll be able to study from home, from the beach, from the mountains, or anywhere else. If you are taking the February Exam, you can go home for Christmas and the New Year without falling behind. Furthermore, if you know you need to relocate while you are studying for the exam, you'll have no problem.
Preparing for the New York State Bar Exam will require hundreds of hours of studying, and you'll see, especially as the exam approaches, that your time to devote to anything other than exam preparation seems to evaporate. With iPass, you'll be able to choose whether or not you want to commute to class or work from home. iPass can save valuable hours that you would have otherwise spent commuting (not to mention the cost savings of not having to pay for gas or parking).
Pieper Bar Review Available to Students Around the Country
In the past, students who wanted to take Pieper but lived outside of NY, NJ, Washington D.C., and Massachusetts were limited to Pieper's Home Study Program or forced to take BarBri. Now, anyone who plans to take the New York State Bar Exam will have a choice and the opportunity to study with Pieper.
All you need to access iPass is your Pieper log-in, a computer with a Flash player (which is pre-installed on almost every computer, PC or Mac), and an internet connection of around 1 mbps (that is one megabyte per second, which is the same as 1,000 kilobyte per second). For those who are not technologically inclined, if you have high speed cable or DSL internet access you should be fine. You can also test your connection at now at www.speedtest.net (simply click your location on the map and run the test free of charge and it will tell you your bandwidth rate in kbps... if it over 1,000, you should be fine). If your computer does not have Adobe Flash, you can download it free of charge at http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/. Though there are no set requirements for running Adobe Flash Player, we recommend that you use a computer with a Windows XP or Vista, or Mac OS 10 or higher, with any of the following processors Intel Pentium 4 2.33GHz (or faster), PowerPC G5 1.8GHz (or faster), Intel Core Duo 1.33GHz (or faster). We also recommend using a computer with 512MB of available RAM. Particularly older computers with slow processor or insufficient RAM may not be able to view iPass, but most computers will have no problems.
